On board our minivan we will set off (from Gallipoli or Ugento) for the Grotta della Poesia, one of the most beautiful natural pools in the world: with its emerald waters, it is incomparable. But not everyone knows that there are actually… two of them! They represent a real archaeological site of extreme preciousness.

We will continue to Otranto, called the “Gateway to the East”, being the easternmost city in Italy. The ancient village is still enclosed by Aragonese walls and is full of narrow streets animated by small houses, small shops and cafés, which branch out to lead to the most historic areas of the city: the Romanesque Cathedral, the largest in Apulia, and the Aragonese Castle, the city’s pride and joy.

Otranto is a city of great charm, attracting visitors – including locals – all year round. An unmissable stop for anyone who chooses to visit the Salento!
